Delaware Gun Laws & Firearms Safety Practice Exam

The correct answer is that assault weapons are not universally banned in Delaware. The state does have specific regulations regarding firearms, but there is no outright ban on assault weapons like some other states have implemented. This means that individuals may legally possess certain types of semi-automatic rifles and other similar firearms, as long as they comply with Delaware's general gun laws.

In Delaware, lawmakers focus on safety measures and regulations relating to the sale and possession of firearms, rather than an outright prohibition on entire categories of weapons. Therefore, while specific models may be restricted or subject to additional requirements, the general possession of assault weapons is permissible under current laws.

Contextually, the other choices might imply varying levels of restrictions that do not fully capture the current legal landscape in Delaware. Some states have more stringent laws prohibiting certain firearms, whereas Delaware allows for legal ownership of many assault-style weapons within a structured framework.
